If the domain for your website has been used earlier, you will receive a lot of spam mail. If the hosting company you are using is competent, they will disable the catch all email, saving both time and server resources. Others will say that you are misusing resources, not realizing that email addresses can be spoofed. If you have 30-50 domains per hosting account (for unlimited add on domains), the junk emails can add up very quickly.
