When you first purchase a hosting package from them , there are coupons available by which you can get $9.94 off on the first month’s payment.  However, only after $0.01 is  paid by PayPal, the account is setup. Since HostGator pays more than $100 for every new customer signup to their affiliates, many of  their affiliates offer more than $40 as web hosting rebates. However, this amount is paid out only after 60 days, if the new customer does not cancel hosting.

The hosting offered by Hostgator includes the Cpanel control panel, which allows for easy management of domains. Web Statistics provided include Latest visitors, Webalizer and Awstats. Awstats are usually available about 24 hours after a domain has been added and   can be updated manually if required. Blogging , Forum and other software/scripts can be installed using Fantastico. I faced problems installing phpLD, the captcha was not working properly.
